Lockheed Constellation control wheel.  Among the rarest of the rare, from what many of us believe to be the most beautiful plane ever to fly.  I was UAL and we never had Connies, but it is still my nostalgic favorite.  When I was a teenager I spent half of my life handing on the fence at Midway here in Chicago watching as they took off, but the thrill was in the sound.  There is nothing like the deep throated roar of the 3350, turbo compound engines that can never be duplicated.  It was a flying emergency, and used more oil than fuel, but those were minor as long as it looked great and sounded even better.
